Baku Oil Refining sets target to reduce carbon footprint.
Baku Oil Refining, Baku will aim to reduce its carbon footprint by 38% per unit of production (measured CO2e per unit crude barrel processed) by year 2030 compared to a 2011 baseline level. Baku Oil Refining is committed to actively reducing its environment impact, including greenhouse gas emissions, through innovation, conservation, efficiency improvements, and strategic collaboration.
Baku Oil Refining is committed to conducting business in a socially responsible manner and to protecting the environment and meeting all applicable state and federal compliance obligations. We will maintain an environmental management system that will serve as a framework for meeting the following objectives:
- Reduce the amount of waste our company produces.
- Mitigate risks for loss of containment of hydrocarbons by implementation and maintenance of a containment program.
- Continuously improve our environmental management system and incorporate protection of the environment into all facets of our business.
- Strive to reduce our carbon footprint and conserve natural resources.
- Ensure there are adequate resources to fully comply with this policy.
